You don't need a diagnosis or a crisis before you're “allowed” to seek counselling. Sometimes you simply recognise that the way you've been coping isn't working anymore.

Anxiety, Overthinking & Emotional Regulation.

Perhaps your mind rarely switches off. You replay conversations, worry about what might happen, question your decisions or find yourself becoming overwhelmed by emotions that are difficult to understand or name. Counselling can help you develop greater awareness of what's happening emotionally and physically, understand what may trigger overwhelm and discover ways of responding to yourself with greater compassion and regulation. The aim isn't to never experience difficult emotions. It's to begin feeling more able to understand and navigate them.

ADHD, Autism & NeurodivergenceI offer neurodivergent-affirming counselling.

You may have received a diagnosis later in life, be waiting for an assessment or simply be exploring whether neurodivergence helps explain some of your experiences.Perhaps you've spent years feeling “too sensitive,” overwhelmed, different or misunderstood. We may explore emotional regulation, rejection sensitivity, masking, relationships, confidence, boundaries, communicating your needs or understanding what genuinely works for you. Rather than beginning from:“What's wrong with me?”we can become curious about:“What do I need?”

Trauma & Difficult Past Experiences

Trauma doesn't necessarily remain in the past.It can influence how safe you feel, how you respond to relationships, how you see yourself and how your mind and body respond to stress.Trauma-informed counselling means I won't push you to disclose or revisit experiences before you're ready. We work collaboratively and at your pace, developing safety and understanding before going deeper.

Domestic Abuse & Coercive Control

The emotional effects of an abusive or controlling relationship can continue long after the relationship changes or ends. You may question your judgement, feel ashamed or confused, miss somebody who hurt you, struggle to make decisions or feel that you've somehow lost yourself.I have professional counselling experience supporting women affected by domestic abuse, coercive control and relational trauma. My role isn't to tell you what decision you should make. Counselling can provide a space to understand what you've experienced, reconnect with your own voice and gradually rebuild autonomy and trust in yourself.

Relationships, Break-ups & Divorce

Relationship difficulties can affect much more than the relationship itself. You may find yourself questioning your worth, repeatedly analysing conversations, struggling to let go or noticing patterns that seem to follow you from one relationship to another. Therapy can give us space to explore those patterns without blaming you for them.Together we can develop greater awareness of your needs, boundaries, attachment and ways of relating to yourself and other people.

Self-Esteem, Boundaries & Self-Trust

Maybe you're compassionate towards everyone except yourself. You might struggle to ask for help, put everybody else's needs before your own, find it difficult to say no or constantly question whether you're making the “right” decision.Counselling can help you understand where these patterns developed.Over time, our work may help you become kinder towards yourself, recognise your limits, communicate your needs, develop healthier boundaries and increasingly trust your own judgement.

Living More Authentically

Sometimes therapy isn't only about reducing symptoms. It's about understanding:Who am I underneath everything I've learned I should be?As self-awareness develops, you may begin recognising what you need, what matters to you and what feels authentic rather than automatically adapting yourself to other people's expectations. Counselling can support you as you begin making choices that feel more aligned with who you are.
